If you were born in the 90s, you would have probably not missed watching this romantic Bollywood movie which released on April 9, 1988. This romantic saga won a million hearts and introduced two fresh faces when multi-starer movies were a trend back then. We’re talking about ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ and its lead actors: Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan.
The movie went on to become a path breaker for these talented actors and also acquired a kind of ‘cult status’ for that period.

However, it’s not about this one song only. This movie had another song which required a clean and straight forward romantic touch where Juhi had to kiss her co-star Aamir Khan on the cheeks, then forehead, and later a small peck on his lips.
But the actress put her foot down and refused to do it, which forced the director Mansoor Khan to halt the shoot for 10 minutes! It looks simple and sweet, right?
However, the actress later changed her mind and knowing the thorough professional that she is, she gladly went ahead with the scene despite her initial inhibitions.
She not only kissed Aamir on his cheeks as a sweet bird, but also gave him a few pecks on his forehead and finally, a shy touch-and-go peck on his pink lips. The result was this sweet scene:
As the script demanded, their song turned out to be one of the most sweetest and romantic songs of the film and in fact, the on-screen couple kissed a good three times in the final song. Have a look for yourself:

Talking about the incident director Mansoor Khan was once quoted as saying:
We were shooting the song Akele Hain To Kya Ghum Hai. I had informed Juhi about a shot where Aamir Khan will lean back and she had to kiss him first on one cheek, then the other cheek and also on his forehead. My assistant later informed me that Juhi is refusing to do the scene. Hearing this, I asked everybody to stop whatever they were doing immediately and just sit down. Ten minutes later, when I was informed that Juhi has agreed to do the scene, we began shooting again.
